Managing Director

Mr. Ayal Ronen is the Managing Director of FreeMind Group, where he leads firm-wide strategy, growth, and operations. Since joining the firm in 2009, he has played a central role in scaling FreeMind into the leading international consulting firm supporting life science organizations in securing US based non dilutive funding for research and development.

Mr. Ronen began his career at FreeMind as a grants consultant, where he managed complex funding projects across a broad range of scientific disciplines and gained deep expertise in NIH and other federal funding mechanisms. He later transitioned into commercial leadership, serving as Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Business Development, and subsequently as Chief Business Officer, where he led the firm’s global growth strategy, expanded its client base, and drove significant revenue growth.

As Managing Director, Mr. Ronen oversees all core business functions and is responsible for the firm’s long term strategic direction. He also leads FreeMind’s AI driven digital transformation, architecting and developing proprietary systems, including Salesforce integrated tools and AI agents, that enhance productivity, scalability, and decision making across the organization.

Mr. Ronen holds an M.Sc. in Neurobiology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where he was awarded the Dean’s Prize for academic excellence, and an MBA from the Recanati School of Business at Tel Aviv University.
