Alexandra Duev-Cohen, Ph.D.

Senior Client Strategist

Dr. Alexandra Duev-Cohen received her Ph.D. in Immunology and Virology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research focused on the interactions between Natural Killer (NK) cells and the different influenza viruses. She identified new ways NK cells can recognize the influenza A viruses and discovered that NK cells are less able to recognize influenza B viruses, thus leading to impaired killing of infected cells. Dr. Duev-Cohen has authored and co-authored numerous publications in immunology and virology-focused peer-reviewed journals and received several awards of excellence.

During her Ph.D. studies, Dr. Duev-Cohen served as a lab manager in charge of writing grant applications, budgeting and allocating funds from grants. As a strategist, she uses her deep knowledge in grants and her scientific expertise in order to match FreeMind clients with the most appropriate non-dilutive fundings.
