New England Hemolytics
New England Hemolytics are a group of instrument, kit, and diagnostic assay developers with over 80 years of combined experience.
Goal:
To create and deploy a revolutionary new automated clinical lab instrument that can rapidly extract pathogen DNA from venous whole blood samples with very high efficiency, and thus enable effective molecular diagnostic solutions for low-concentration blood-borne infections.
Possible downstream molecular diagnostic assays can be PCR or isothermal DNA ampliciation based-detection/identification, or DNA sequencing.
Possible assay targets:
Bacterial sepsis
Fungal sepsis
Lyme disease
Malaria
