Iba’ Farrah, Ph.D.

Iba’ Farrah holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her Ph.D. research concentrated on the molecular characterization of Borrelia persica and its vector, as well as the epidemiology of Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever in the West Bank.  She had her IMPH (International Master’s Degree of Public Health) from the Hebrew University as well. She also holds a Master’s in Nanotechnology for Medicine and Healthcare from the University of Oxford, UK. Her work focused on the formulation of a nano-dressing from Inula Viscosa and its bioactive compounds, for burn and wound healing. Prior to joining FreeMind, Iba’ worked at various universities as a senior researcher and lecturer in molecular biology, bioinformatics, and sustainable agriculture. She has many contributions to scientific research, ranging across the fields of cancer research, aromatherapy, health and epidemiology research, genetics, and agriculture. She is an international trainer in sustainable agriculture and eco-design and has a great passion about nature and agriculture. Iba’s favorite activities are travelling, farming, charity, and reading.
